Kristin's Birthday
Today, March 11, 2006 was Kristin's twelfth birthday.Marcella was the hit of the evening. She wondered why everyone was eating something but her. She kept drooling, and sucking on her hand,until Kanien fed her a bottle.
For her birthday dinner, last evening, Kristin wanted to go to the Mayan, a Mexican Theme restaurant owned by Larry Miller. Coming from the four directions of the compass, (okay, just three) we all met at the Mayan. We tried to arrive at the same time, but only succeeded in leaving at the same time. We were all together (except Spencer, who was in Denver with the BYU PEP Band for the Mountasin West Conference Basketball Tournament) for most of the evening. Believe it or not, Kristin ate all that food! I don't know how she stays so petite.

Wow that food looks so good. I can honestly say I haven't been to a good mexican restaurant since we moved here. Sorry we missed it! Happy Birthday Kristin!
I thought it was a pretty fun atmosphere...more fun for children than adults, though. It was loud but not the good kind of loud...kids screaming and obnoxious music playing...people in costumes walking around grabbing Marcella and germing out with her, and the food was only OK. It wasn't the worst mexican food I've tasted, but it wasn't as good as what I usually choose to eat. But it was fun to be there with the family and watch Kristin open her presents!
It looks like fun to all be together. Happy Birthday Kristin. Next time choose a restaurant a little closer to us, okay?
