The End of Summer
Today we enjoyed Stake Conference. That means fewer meetings, and extra time on Sunday. For once I could sit down, and reflect on this past summer. It has been a whirlwind. Activities have been good, and fun, but it has seemed like we have rushed from one thing to another. I thought I would try a Mega-Post to recap the activities.
For us, the summer started in May. Although it was cold, rainy, and snowy in Utah, we travelled with Greg to Lafayette, Indiana where we spent a week with Jon, Kanien, Marcella and Claire.
We the plants tucked snuggly into their beds, we drove to Kentucky, where we visited Lincoln's birthplace.
Kentucky was lusious and green.
Lincoln dod not split these rails, as his family moved from Kentucky when he was quite young.
On our way back to Indiana, we passed a church that had this scene painted on their outside wall. Their way to depict the struggle between Jesus and Satan.
Back in Indiana we visited the Fair Oaks Dairy Farm where they milk 3,000 cows three times a day. Here a mother has just given birth.

We arrived Saturday, May 14th, and attended a regional conference on Sunday. Monday, we helped Jon and Kanien get their garden and flower beds planted.
