October Cabin Trip

Here are a few photos of our recent trip to the cabin. We enjoyed good food, good friends, good family, and lots of fun. Here we are treated to a delicious breakfast casserole, made by Laurissa, and enjoyed by all except Hannah.

Friday, Greg led us on a hike up a beautiful canyon that follows the Targhee Creek, near the top of Targhee Pass.
Matthew is going to attempt a jump over a small pool near the creek.
 Wow! He made it!

Even though there was ice along the creek, we were pretty warm from hiking. We removed our coats and attempted to break the ice by throwing large rocks.
I spent a few hours each day on the tongue and groove for the little cabin. With Greg's and Russ's help, I was able to get quite a bit done.
All of the walls on the main floor are completed with pine.
It is finally starting to look like a real cabin.
Greg helped me install the first piece of cedar tongue and groove on the ceiling. Then Russ helped me do 7 more rows.

Looks really good. Are you running false ridge poles along the ceiling, or are you going to leave it flat?

That was a fun trip and I'm glad the little cabin is almost finished.
