Chocolate World
Brad and Laurissa arrived Thursday evening. Friday, Jeff had school, but the rest of us took a tour of Chocolate World, and then took the Trolley tour of Hershey, including the home where Milton S. Hershey was born, the building where he did his experiments on chocolate, and the mansion where he lived in Hershey. We saw the Milton S. Hershey school for underprivileged boys, and girls, and the original factory where they still make most of their milk chocolate.
I have tried to upload some pictures but have been unsuccessful for two days now.
Yesterday, we had a casual day. It was cold and windy. The temperature at ten o'clock was 19 degrees. There was still a steady wind out of the west. The kids were restless, but it was too cold to take them to the park. Someone had the brilliant idea to go to a McDonald's and let them play on the toys. Brad had noticed a McDonald's not far from Caroline and Jeff's. We drove over, but it didn't have a playland. Laurissa went inside, and obtained directions to a McDonald's in Harrisburg that had a playland. "Take the 322 to the 83, then take the Swatera exit. Turn L at the exit, take the next left, and you'll see it," she was told. We drove along the 322 out of Hershey. soon we came to the 83, but didn't know whether to go north or south. We chose north. No Swatera exit. We exited, and turned around and got back onto the freeway heading south. Still no Swatera. Then we turned around and took the 283. There was the Swatera exit. We exited, turned R, and saw the McDonald's. As we pulled into the parking lot, there was the playground, outside in the cold wind! The kids enjoyed playing there anyway. They don't get cold like we do.

Ha! After all of that work, the playland was outside!! How funny is that. We got another couple of inches of snow this morning...pretty lame, don't you think? I do. I'm anxious to get our garden prepped so I'll be able to plant tomatoes. Well...we'll be glad when you're back home...8:06 pm tomorrow night!!!
