Seven Brides For Seven Brothers

Opening night! Nervous? Not Lizzy. She is cool. She played the role of Ruth, one of the Seven
Brides. She has worked so hard, learning lines, learning songs, rehearsing after school. She has stressed out over her homework, but still managed a 3.9 last term. The picture above was taken right after the play.

Below is the scene where the oldest brother, Adam, says something rude to his wife, and all the other girls are mad. Notice the expression on Lizzy's face.

The next two pictures are when the girls are trapped in the home of the brothers. The brothers sleep in the barn, while the girls get the house. The six unmarried girls are all sleeping in one large room upstairs, and they have fallen in love with the brothers (only the brothers don't know it.) The girls sing a song about being a June Bride. All of the girls' voices were sweet and on key, but Lizzy projected so well, everyone could hear her solos. All the people sitting around us mentioned how great her voice is.

The scene below is where the girls and brothers finally realize they love each other. They are waiting for the snow to melt so they can bring the Parson from town to marry them.

Finally they are married, and live happily ever after!. The kids did a great job. We are going to attend again on Saturday. I will try to get some more pictures.

Great Pictures! I'm sure it was a great performance, especially if you want to go again.
