Day 15- Home
We had to be on the road at 6 a.m. in order to avoid the traffic in Milan. Nicola came by at 5:30 to say good-bye. We felt like all of our Italian friends were family. We had only been with them for a few days, but it seemed that we had known each other a very long time. Out trip became better with each day, and the last few days in Piacenza were ceratinly the best. We can't wait to go back. We drove to Milan without difficulty, and found our way to the airport. We returned the rental car, and dragged our bags to the airport. Our two bags that had contained gifts, were now stuffed with souvenirs and gifts for those at home. After checking in, we walked past an Andrew's Ties store. These are the best ties!, and after already having purchased 36 ties in Piacenza, Spencer and I went inside and purchased four more. They were also the least expensive, at three ties for 50 Euros.
Spencer took this picture as we flew around some thunderstorms in the western US, near the end of our flight.
