Island Park
To celebrate our anniversary this year, Katherine and I traveled to Island Park. There, we enjoyed a quiet, peaceful three days alone. We ate dinner at the Lake Hotel on Yellowstone Lake, afterward walking along the shore of the lake near Pelican Creek.

Pelican Creek flows through into Pelican Bay which is home to.... Pelicans! of course. These are two of many that were there.
As we drove home throughYellowstone, it was not difficult to spot the wildlife, as there were dozens of cars parked along the side of the road. This grizzly bear is diginng insects out of the soft sand on the hillside.

The last day I rode my bike up Fish Creek Road to the top of the Moose Creek Plateau. This is a view from the road looking down into the valley.
