Spring

We have had about five snowstorms in the past ten days. For the past 3 days it has snowed almost every day. It only snows an inch or three at a time, but it has still been very wintery.
I went to get the mail from the mailbox, and noticed this crocus poking up through the ground, where the snow has just barely melted off of the mulch. It is so exciting. Spring is just around the corner!

The mountain looks so beautiful. Notice how the trees on the very top are completely covered with snow. Today is the first day in about ten that we have had full sunshine.

It may not look like there is a lot of snow on the ground, but there is about eight inches. Some did melt today.

This week I worked on the base molding in the closet. This closet was tricky, because there is a sixty-degree angle between the side wall and the back wall. But after several measurements, and several bad cuts, I finally got it.

The closet has base molding, but the pocket door won't open all the way because I drove a nail through the molding into the wall, and it is blocking the movement of the door. I will have to sand off the paint, find the nail and pull it out.

I love seeing the first crocuses of spring. I'll have to plant some for next year. Too bad about the pocket door--it seems like its always causing problems. I can't wait to see more updates on your blog!

Cool! It's good to see you're back in business. I guess when you spend a few hours each week writing email to missionaries, you just feel like you can't dedicate any more time to the internet.

Wow. Kaysville looks so beautiful with the snow. It is amazing the crocuses fought to bloom even while covered in snow. The Utility room looks so good. I hope you can finish it soon so you don't have to worry about it anymore. Thanks for the update!

By the way, I'm so glad you did another post because I was tired of seeing the halloween picture every time I clicked on your blog.

I really like your orange crocuses--we have purple ones all over our yard. I saw the first one in early January when we had a couple 75 degree days, but they've really come out now.

I agree with Caroline--I'm glad you did another post. But you should edit it so that the crocus picture is first so that we can see it for the next few months. :)
