North Rim of the Grand Canyon
Here are a few pictures of our mountain biking trip on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. We started miles from the rim of the canyon, and spent the first day biking through the Kaibab Natinal Forest on the Kaibab Plateau. The elevation is a little high, so we had some rain.
The trail alternated throughforests and large meadows.

Our first night we camped on the edge of this canyon, which is actually east of the Grand Canyon.
Our second day, we biked thirty three miles, and ended up at this spot, right on the edge of the canyon. The cool thing about the Grand Canyon is that it changes as the time of day and the weather changes. The above picture is taken in the late afternoon. Below is the Canyon in the morning.

We watched this storm come across the canyon in the evening.
Here the sun is just setting.
Above is after the sun has set.
This is the morning of a cloudy day.
The last day we drove out to the National Forest next to Bryce Canyon. This is the Thunder Mountain Trail. It has nine miles of single track that winds through narrow canyons, and rock formations.

What beautiful pictures! I'm glad you've been able to go on so many fun trips! Thanks for taking me to the Grand Canyon when I was younger. I still remember it.
Nice...really beautiful pictures. How about taking me with you next time? Then I'll be able to tell my kids what a nice Grandpa you are.
Did you throw any rocks over the edge of the canyon? Looks like it was a very fun trip.
Those Pictures are Amazing!! I can't believe you didn't invite me! just kidding. But I want my name on the list for the trip, even if it's after my mission.
Beautiful pictures. You've sure enjoyed a lot of natural beauty this summer. Thanks for the posts!
