Jon's Birthday
July 11, 2006- Jon's birthday. We all met at a picnic area up Millcreek Canyon. Jon had been cooking all day (not really, but it sounds better.) First he gave each of us a present. Then he opened his presents from us.
Jon received a cooker/canner loaded with goodies.
Jon went wild over these Buddy Bars. He really loves them.
Jon had made a delicious dutch-oven stew that he served for dinner. It was a wonderful birthday party. Happy Birthday Jon!

Thanks!! You got some good pictures...I'll have to snag them from you some time when I'm up there.
Happy Birthday Jon, did you ride your scooter up the canyon? Just kidding. I know you didn't. For some reason those buddy bars made me think of the role candy has always played in our family (for better or worse). Besides getting a bunch of candy on your birthday, I remember the highlight of the week was being paid our allowance and then going to King's and buying candy with it. Ahh, the good old days when your only expense was candy related and you could eat it and not get fat or worry about giving yourself diabetes.
